My name is Corey, and I have a giant beard. I'm proud of it. That guy in the sunglasses, that's Jason. He's my business partner and close friend. I've shared with him my vision for what Great Woods Trading Company should be and together we will bring it to life. And the reason?
It isn't for us. It's for our families, and because of our families. the ones who came before and the ones yet to come. It's to build something greater than ourselves and to include other families that are doing the same thing we are; working, striving, building a better life.
I began practicing blacksmithing and soap making at the same time. They both struck a wonderful balance in me. The strength of one and the softness of the other made sense to me, because none of us are just one thing. We all have qualities in us that don't always fit the same mold.
The crafts of soap making and blacksmithing are two very intricate fields, and by no means am I a master at either, but I do promise to always put every bit of who I am into everything I create. Blacksmithing and soap making have so far fed each other in a way that the progress from one has helped to further the other.
That's me, Corey Woods.
Alright! It's Jason Philabaum!
Please enjoys these photos of us and our families!
